The porcelain manufacturer SND is manufacturing porcelain in Germany with immediate effect: The company has inaugurated a second plant just a few metres away from its production site in Zeulenroda, Thuringia.
The expansion is the last link in the production chain: Up until now Plant 1 was exclusively responsible for personalizing and decorating the porcelain, the base products were purchased from suppliers from the Far East, the Czech Republic and Germany. >From now on the base products will be self-manufactured in the new factory. Eight new employees will work in the new production plant, which covers 2,200 mâ2; of floor space. The new factory, which is equipped with a 42 m long furnace for bisque and glost firing, has a production capacity of 1.6 million mugs per annum.
